Saling Ket, the new pop/ballad band, is made up of three sisters, Clarisse, Leigh, Greta and their brother Valor. They all grew up in Bulacan. Their songwriter father (Rey Valera) instilled in them the love for music at their young age, hence, it wasn’t surprising that this band came to being. Each of them made their own pick to play their own instruments. Valor plays keyboards and guitar, Clarisse plays strings on second keyboards, Leigh plays bass guitar and Greta plays the drums. An experience from a “battle of the bands” in a university in Bulacan, boost them more to love music. From then on, they play as session musicians for their father’s concerts in AFP theater, Aliw theater, Casino Filipino, and Araneta Coliseum. Now, they’ll be releasing their own album, PANGHABANGBUHAY as SALING KET, featuring Mr. Rey Valera, of course. This time, the Valera kids will be using their father’s original surname, GUARDIANO. The band’s music is very much influenced by Mr. Valera’s pop/classics.
