These listener-supported achievements have put the band on the fast track in the digital world. Hailing from a hot bed for progressive music, Orange County, California, Odd Project formed in the fall of 2000. After recording two demos, which was not what they were looking for musically, they continued to write music and underwent a couple line-up changes. The band's most recent demo (July 2003) contains material that Odd Project excels in. Metal, hardcore and emo are just a few influences integrated into their material. This is due to the diversity of the band member’s personal tastes. The music is aimed towards combining a punch in your face sound with uplifting melodies to create an aggressive, yet emotional feeling.
